Richard Marshal, 3rd Earl of Pembroke ( c. 1191 – 15 April 1234), was the son of William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke and brother of William Marshal, 2nd Earl of Pembroke, whom he succeeded to the Earldom of Pembroke and Lord Marshal of England upon his brother's death on 6 April 1231.

He died April 1231. RICHARD MARSHAL (died 1234) He inherited the earldom on the death of William (II). He led the baronage in opposition to Henry III and his foreign advisers. The old struggle between the Marshal family and the prince of Gwynedd gave place to an alliance against the forces of the Crown in the war in the Marches, 1233-4.

Richard was buried in the Black Abbey (also known as the Dominican Priory or Holy Trinity Priory) in the town of Kilkenny, Ireland.
