Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick ("Warwick the Kingmaker"), from the Rous Roll. He displays on his shield the arms of Montagu quartering Monthermer. The bull's head is the crest of the Neville family, the eagle is the crest of Montagu. His other titles included 6th Earl of Salisbury, 8th & 5th Baron Montagu and 7th Baron Monthermer.

Richard Neville (22 de noviembre de 1428-14 de abril de 1471) fue el 16.º conde de Warwick.Se lo conoció como «el hacedor de reyes» (The Kingmaker), ya que como el hombre más rico de Inglaterra —fuera de la familia real—, utilizó su poder para derrocar al Lancaster Enrique VI para sustituirlo por el York Eduardo IV, y para posteriormente restaurar al mismo Enrique VI.

Becoming Warwick It's not clear why Richard's claim to be heir to the earldom of Warwick was superior to that of Edward Beaufort, which you also refer to. I've put an explanation in the reference. "By 1445 Richard had been knighted". Any indication as to why (he was only 17).

Richard Neville, 16:e earl av Warwick, född 1428, död 14 april 1471, var även känd som Warwick Kungamakaren. Neville var den rikaste mannen i England utanför kungafamiljen, och han använde sin makt och rikedom till att avsätta den Henrik VI av huset Lancaster och hjälpa Edvard IV av huset York ) till makten, för att senare avsätta honom och återinsätta Henrik VI.
