Biographie. Rinaldo degli Albizzi ou Rinaldo degli Albizi ( Florence, 1370 – Ancône, 1442) est un homme politique florentin du Quattrocento, fils aîné de Tommaso, qui parvenu au gouvernement en 1429, entraîna Florence dans de folles entreprises et fut exilé en 1434, au retour des Médicis. Avec lui finit la prédominance de cette famille.
Il palazzo di Rinaldo, invece (l'attuale Palazzo Valori-Altoviti), venne confiscato e poi venduto. Nel 1473 Agnolo Poliziano compose l'epicedio in morte di Albiera degli Albizzi; la giovane era già stata promessa sposa per motivi politici e la sua morte prematura fece molto rumore a Firenze.

[1] She was the grand-daughter of Rinaldo degli Albizzi , leader of the aristocratic Guelph party of Republic of Florence ; both her father Ormanno and grandfather Rinaldo were exiled when the Medici family returned to Florence in 1434.
