Robert Spencer, 4th Earl of Sunderland (24 October 1701 – 15 September 1729) was a British peer from the Spencer family, the son of Whig politician Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl of Sunderland. His mother was Lady Anne Churchill, the daughter of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, and Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough.

Robert Spencer, cuarto conde de Sunderland (24 de octubre de 1701 - 15 de septiembre de 1729) fue un par británico de la familia Spencer, hijo del político whig Charles Spencer, tercer conde de Sunderland. Su madre era Lady Anne Churchill, hija de John Churchill, primer duque de Marlborough, y Sarah Churchill, duquesa de Marlborough.
He was known by the courtesy title of Lord Spencer from 1702 to 19 April 1722 when he succeeded his father as 4th Earl of Sunderland. He died of a fever at Paris on 15 September 1729, and was buried at Brington on 7 October 1729.
Their son Robert Spencer was created Baron Spencer of Wormleighton in 1603, and the 3rd Baron was created Earl of Sunderland in 1643. The 3rd Earl of Sunderland ( c. 1674-1722) married in 1700 Anne, second daughter and co-heir of the 1st Duke of Marlborough (see Spencer-Churchill, Dukes of Marlborough).
