  6. ROBERT Stewart. Earl of Orkney. Father, died: ROBERT STEWART, illegitimate son of JAMES V, King of Scotland, and Euphemia, daughter of Alexander, first Lord Elphinstone. He was Abbot, and in 1559, after being confirmed into the Protestant faith Commendator, of Holyrood House. In 1581 he was created EARL OF ORKNEY and Lord Zetland.
