Robert Stewart, 1st Duke of Albany. The Dukedom was first granted in 1398 by King Robert III of Scotland to his brother also called, Robert whose full title became Robert Stewart, Duke of Albany. Robert actually received his first title in 1361 when he married Margaret Graham, Countess of Menteith, becoming Earl of Menteith.
