However, St. Peter's is functionally the Pope's principal church, as most Papal liturgies and ceremonies take place there due to its size, proximity to the Papal residence, and location within the Vatican City proper.
19 de abr. de 2024 · Afterwards, we went to Roskilde cathedral together. The cathedral has a very rich history to share about in the cathedral museum. The old royal Kings and Queens and their graves are buried in the cathedral. After that we came back to school and played games at the school library with the other students.

Hace 2 días · Roskilde Cathedral has been the burial place of Danish royalty since the 15th century. In 1995 it became a World Heritage Site. The Constitution states that the sovereign must have the Lutheran faith, though the rest of the population is free to adhere to other faiths.

One of the earliest examples in Scandinavia of a Gothic cathedral built in brick, the cathedral stands tall and impressive on the island of Zealand.
