Roskilde domkyrka är en domkyrka och ett världsarv i centrala Roskilde i Danmark. Domkyrkan är katedral för Roskilde stift av Danska folkkyrkan , vilket innefattar den större delen av ön Själland , utom de ostligaste delarna, som omfattas av Helsingörs stift i nordöst och Köpenhamns stift i sydöst.
The cathedral lost many of its Romanesque details in favour of the new incoming Gothic style from France. The cathedral became the first brick Gothic cathedral to be built in Europe and inspired the construction of many others like it. With the completion of Roskilde Cathedral around 1280, the town became the religious centre of Denmark.

The cathedral possesses a skull relic long believed to be of the early pope St. Lucius. However, the Aarhus University radiocarbon-dated the skull to 340-431 AD, eliminating the possibility of belonging to Lucius, who died in 254. Previously, the relic had been in Roskilde Cathedral which was originally dedicated to the saint. References
