Schlosshotel Kronberg (Castle Hotel Kronberg) in Kronberg im Taunus, Hesse, near Frankfurt am Main, was built between 1889 and 1893 for the dowager German Empress Victoria and originally named Schloss Friedrichshof (Friedrichshof Castle) in honour of her late husband, Emperor Frederick III (Friedrich III).

The Schosshotel opened in 1954 under the management of the hotelier Richard Pertram, who had also been the tenant of the family hotel Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt since 1952. Among the guests were King Paul and Queen Friederike of Greece as well as the King of Sweden.
An utterly romantic and magical castle laden with history, Schlosshotel Kronberg was built in 1893 and was home to Empress Victoria Friedrich. Today, guests stay here surrounded by many of the empress’ original antiques and paintings while enjoying an 18-hole golf course, a fine dining restaurant, beauty salon and enchanting grounds.
The Schlosshotel Kronberg, also a Golf resort and castle hotel, has since 1954 been a luxury hotel of the first order. Built under commission from Empress Victoria Friedrich and completed in 1893, it is today one of the most impressive German castles and offers its guests living history to touch and feel.
