  1. Schule Schloss Salem is a place with a unique character. Here, young people of all ages experience those things that make for lasting and viable community life. In other words, by living with one another in a group, students become acquainted with life in a multifaceted society.

  2. Schule Schloss Salem was founded in 1919 and officially opened at Salem Castle in 1920. Due to a steady rise in the number of students, with a total of 600 today, the school repeatedly experienced space problems over the past 100 years; it was decided to lease buildings in the immediate surroundings in order to accommodate the students and maintain a stable educational and boarding school life.

  3. The daily schedule at Schule Schloss Salem is similar for all year groups. We begin the day with a short run, the so-called Morgenlauf (Morning run). Lessons are held in the mornings and early afternoons, with a break for mid-morning snacks. After lunch, there are activities, services, guilds or afternoon lessons, as appropriate to each year group.
