  6. In 1341 Konstantin Vasilievich of Suzdal was granted Nizhny Novgorod and Gorodets by Khan Uzhek upon the death of Ivan Kalita. The principality was reorganised as the Suzdal-Nizhny Novgorod Grand Principality. In 1350 Nizhny Novgorod replaced Suzdal as the capital of the principality.
