Doyle Bramhall II (born December 24 ... 2004 – Eric Clapton – Sessions for Robert J; 2004 ... Robert Randolph and the Family Band – We Walk This Road;
Bramhall performed ace axe lines on Clapton’s 2004 Robert Johnson tribute albums, Me and Mr. Johnsonand Sessions for Robert J, and his own songs were woven into records such as Reptile(2001), Back Home(2004) and The Road to Escondito(2005). Eventually, Bramhall graduated to co-producer on the albums Clapton(2010) and Old Sock (2013).

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! After I was finally able to listen to the CD (it didn't play on my CD player due to the copy-protection!) I have been absolutely delighted with "Sessions for Robert J". It is everything that "Me and Mr Johnson" wasn't: raw, painful, edgy and gritty. The DVD is particularly stunning.
