29 de abr. de 2024 · Sicilian doesn’t follow the same rules as Italian pronunciation so it’s practically impossible to pronounce vowels and consonants the same way the Italian language does. The vowels “e” and “o” are only pronounced open. Words ending with an -e in Italian change to an -i ending in Sicilian: mare (sea) > mari.
