The team raised more than half a million dollars with over 300 donors to help ensure that income is not an obstacle to a Sidwell Friends education.

Reunion Weekend at Sidwell Friends saw hundreds of alumni return to campus to reconnect and celebrate. Alumni of all ages and graduation years attended special classes prepared just for them and taught by current faculty.

The celebration for Upper School Principal Mamadou Guèye’s retirement started out so big and with such a huge response, that Sidwell Friends had to put up the largest tent ever erected in the garden behind Zartman House.

Head of School Bryan Garman—in full Thomas Sidwell garb (including knickers, faux moustache, and newsboy cap)—led the celebration that began with Let Your Life Speak, a tradition that brings alumni to campus to talk to Middle and Upper School students about their paths after Sidwell Friends.
