Life. Thomas Burgh, also spelt "Borough", was born about 1488 at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, the eldest son of Edward Burgh, 2nd Baron Burgh (c. 1463 – 1528) and Anne Cobham, suo jure 6th Baroness Cobham, daughter of Sir Thomas Cobham, de jure 5th Baron Cobham of Sterborough and Lady Anne Stafford, a daughter of the 1st Duke of Buckingham.
23 de may. de 2018 · Sir Edward Burgh (pronounced as Borough) (d. before April 1533) was the eldest son and heir to Sir Thomas Burgh, 1st Baron Burgh and his wife Agnes Tyrwhit. He is known for being the first husband of Catherine Parr, later Queen consort to King Henry VIII. 18th-century historians have mistaken him for his grandfather, the elderly, Sir Edward Burgh, 2nd Baron Burgh of Gainsborough.

Children of Thomas Burgh and Agnes Tyrwhitt: Sir Edward Burgh (c. 1508-before April 1533), eldest son and heir, married Catherine Parr, without issue. Sir Thomas Burgh (d. 1542), who married Elizabeth Owen, and had issue. Elizabeth was thrown out by Lord Burgh and their children were declared bastards.
Edward Burgh, 2nd Lord Burgh was born circa 1474 at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England. [2] In 1477 Edward married Anne, daughter and heir to Sir Thomas Cobham,Kt., 5th Baron Cobham and Anne Stafford. Anne Cobham was the widow of Edward Blount, Lord Montjoy. [1] According to Richardson, they had two known sons, Thomas, Lord Burgh and Henry.
