Sir Edward Osborne, 1st Baronet, of Kiveton was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1628 and 1640. Osborne was the son of Sir Hewett Osborne and Joyce Fleetwood. He was made a baronet on 13 July 1620.

Osborne's grandson, Sir Edward Osborne, of Kiveton, Yorkshire, created a baronet 13 July 1620, was the son of Sir Hewett Osborne, and father of Sir Thomas Osborne, 1st Duke of Leeds. [citation needed] A half-length portrait of Osborne in armour is in the possession of the Duke of Leeds.
Biography. Osborne’s grandfather, Sir Edward Osborne†, came from a minor gentry family from Kent but was apprenticed to a leading London merchant. Having married his master’s daughter, he accumulated a substantial mercantile fortune and was elected to Parliament for the City in 1586.
