12 de jul. de 2023 · Sir Humphrey Bourchier (or Bourgchier) is buried in St Edmund's chapel in Westminster Abbey. The Purbeck marble altar tomb once had a brass figure on it which has been lost but four engraved shields of arms and his crest of a Saracen's head still remain, together with the inscription plate.
12 de sept. de 2023 · Sir Humphrey Bourchier was the son of Sir John Bourchier, 1st Lord Berners and Marjorie Berners.1 He married Elizabeth Tylney, daughter of Sir Frederick Tylney and Elizabeth Cheney.1 He died on 14 April 1471, killed in action.1; He fought in the Battle of Barnet on 14 April 1471, fighting on the Yorkist side.1
