In 1846 Solange became engaged to Fernand de Preaulx. But in 1847, she married the sculptor Auguste Clésinger, whom she met while posing for a bust. Solange was 19; the sculptor 32. The couple had a daughter, Jeanne, in 1848, but the child died a week after birth. A second daughter, also named Jeanne, was born in 1849.

Biografía. Solange Sand nació el 13 de septiembre de 1828. Es la segunda hija de Aurore Dupin, la baronesa Dudevant, que toma cuatro años después de su seudónimo más conocido George Sand , y de su marido, el barón Casimir Dudevant. Su hermano mayor es el pintor y escritor Maurice Sand .
Solange Clésinger-Sand, daughter of prolific 19th century French author George Sand and Casimir Dudevant. Studied piano with Frédéric Chopin during Chopin's summer sojourns at the Sand estate in Nohant from the late 1830s to mid 1840s. Married sculptor Jean-Baptiste (Auguste) Clésinger in 1847.
