Teimuraz of Imereti. Teimuraz ( Georgian: თეიმურაზი) (died c. 1768), of the Bagrationi dynasty, was king ( mepe) of Imereti (western Georgia) from 1766 to 1768. A son of Prince Mamuka, sometime claimant to the crown of Imereti, he was enthroned by the Ottoman government after the deposition of his cousin, King Solomon I.
Bagrat's progeny, through his son David, is the longest surviving line directly descending from the kings of Imereti. Prince Archil (died 1775), born by Tamar Abashidze. He was father of Solomon II of Imereti, the last king of Imereti. Prince Giorgi (fl. 1748). References
