Hace 5 horas · My family liked country music, so I was raised on a steady diet of singing with radio music by Hank Williams, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers with the Sons of the Pioneers, and all the other country singers. My mother liked the music of the ‘40s also. Patti Page, the Ames Brothers, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin for instance. I liked them too.

Country music and western music were frequently played together on the same radio stations, hence the term country and western music, despite country and western being two distinct genres.
