(fn. 48) Accordingly we find among the fees of the Earl of Stafford in 1372 and 1386 Compton Scorefen held by John Burdet and Geoffrey Noreys, (fn. 49) and in 1392, 1398, and 1403 by Thomas Burdet and Geoffrey Noreys.
