Hace 21 horas · St George’s Chapel was founded by Edward III and grandly rebuilt in the reign of Edward IV, but sometimes we can overlook the contributions made by the kings that came between them. One of these is Richard II, who came to the throne unexpectedly at the age of ten after the deaths of his father, Edward Prince of Wales, in 1376 and his grandfather, Edward III, in 1377.

Hace 1 día · Albert's funeral was held on 23 December 1861 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. His body was temporarily entombed in the chapel's Royal Vault. A year after his death, his remains were deposited at the Royal Mausoleum, Frogmore, which remained incomplete until 1871.
