Hace 4 días · Situated on the grounds of a former Benedictine monastery, it was refounded as the Collegiate Church of St. Peter in Westminster by Queen Elizabeth I in 1560. In 1987 Westminster Abbey , St. Margaret’s Church , and the Houses of Parliament were collectively designated a UNESCO World Heritage site .

9 de may. de 2024 · The St Margaret’s Choristers made history on Wednesday 8th May when they sang Evensong in Westminster Abbey for the first time. Performing with the musicians of the St Margaret's Consort, they became the first girl choristers of the Abbey to raise their voices as part of the tradition of daily worship offered here for centuries.
