Saint Cyril (315 – 387) was most likely born in Jerusalem around the year 315, shortly after the legalization of Christianity throughout the Roman Empire.

Hace 1 día · Here is what St. Cyril of Jerusalem tells us happened: St. Cyril was ordained a deacon by the bishop of Jerusalem, and then later ordained a priest at some time in the early 340s. A few years later, estimated to be around the year 348, he was entrusted with the responsibility to teach catechumens (Christian converts being given oral instruction [catechesis] in the faith, before baptism).
