Hosius Stanislaus (lot.; lenk. Stanisław Hozjusz, Stanislovas Hòzijus) 1504 05 05 Krokuva 1579 08 05 Capranica (prie Romos), Katalikų Bažnyčios veikėjas, teologas. Kardinolas (1561). Kilęs iš Krokuvos miestiečių. 1519–24 studijavo Krokuvos universitete. Vėliau Krokuvos vyskupo rūmuose dirbo mokytoju.

Stanislaus Hosius’s figure was perceived in the recent decades predominantly in the context of the Renaissance, Counter- Reformation and his devotion to the Catholic Church (Achremczyk, Guzowski & Jezierski 2005; Jurkowlaniec 2006; Williams 1981).

1572 erklärte der Papst Gregor XIII. Hosius ein Mitglied der neuen Congregatio Germanica. Stanislaus Hosius starb am 5. August 1579 in Capranica und wurde in der Kirche Santa Maria in Trastevere in Rom begraben. Hosius und Cromer waren zwei der wichtigsten Kirchenpersonen, welche sehr stark den Katholizismus vertraten und wieder einführten.

Den in Krakau geborenen deutschen späteren Kardinal und Bischof von Ermland hatte König Sigismund von Polen schon frühzeitig zu seinem Sekretär ernannt. Er leistete der Krone Polens wichtige Dienste, insbesondere bezüglich ihrer Beziehungen zum Vatikan. Er wurde 1549 Bischof von Culm. Im Jahre 1551 erhielt Hosius das Bistum Ermland.
