Stanislaus Hosius, född 5 maj 1504, död 5 augusti 1579, var en polsk katolsk präst av tysk börd. Hosius blev biskop i Ermeland 1551 och kardinal 1561. Hosius var en av den katolska motreformationens främsta krafter, införde jesuitorden i Polen och sökte förena den polska nationalismen med nitälskan för den katolska tron.

Stanislaus Hosius (Polish: Stanisław Hozjusz; 5 May 1504 – 5 August 1579) was a Polish Roman Catholic cardinal. From 1551 he was the Prince-Bishop of the Bishopric of Warmia in Royal Prussia and from 1558 he served as the papal legate to the Holy Roman Emperor's Imperial Court in Vienna, Austria. From 1566 he was also the papal legate to Poland. He is designated a Servant of God.
Den in Krakau geborenen deutschen späteren Kardinal und Bischof von Ermland hatte König Sigismund von Polen schon frühzeitig zu seinem Sekretär ernannt. Er leistete der Krone Polens wichtige Dienste, insbesondere bezüglich ihrer Beziehungen zum Vatikan. Er wurde 1549 Bischof von Culm. Im Jahre 1551 erhielt Hosius das Bistum Ermland.

Stanislaus Hosius . Stanislaus erhielt seine Ausbildung an den Universitäten von Krakau, in Bologna, wo die Universität damals im Kloster an San Domenico angesiedelt war, und Padua. 1543 wurde er zum Priester geweiht. 1549 wurde er Bischof von Kulm - dem heutigen Chełmno, 1551 Bischof von Ermland - dem heutigen Warmia-, 1561 Kardinal und päpstlicher Legat in Polen.
