Stenkil ( Old Norse: Steinkell; died 1066) was a King of Sweden who ruled c. 1060 until 1066. [1] [2] [3] He succeeded Emund the Old and became the first king from the House of Stenkil. [4] He is praised as a devout Christian, but with an accommodating stance towards the old Pagan religion.

He ascended the throne after the death of his father-in-law at the end of the 1050s and reigned until around 1066.

La Casa de Stenkil (sueco: Stenkilska ätten) fue una dinastía real de Suecia cuyo origen se remonta a la era Vikinga, desde 1060 hasta 1125. [1] Su nombre procede del primer monarca del clan familiar llamado Stenkil .

Inge I o Inge Stenkilsson (1047-fallecido en 1111/1112 1 ) fue rey de Suecia en dos periodos: el primero de 1080 a 1084 aproximadamente, y el segundo de 1087 a 1105 aproximadamente. Durante su reinado se llevó a cabo la cristianización definitiva de Suecia y la unificación temporal del país.
Stenkil Ragnvaldsson, rey de Suecia a partir de 1060 aproximadamente. Era un noble de la provincia de Västergötland, donde ejerció el título de jarl y sucedió en el trono a Emund el Viejo, quien falleció sin hijos. Según las fuentes históricas, Stenkil ejerció el poder real en Suecia sin dejar de lado el gobierno de Vâstergôtland.
