Hill House International Junior School is an independent preparatory day school primarily in the Knightsbridge district of London. It was founded in September 1949 by athlete and Liberal Party politician Lt-Col Stuart Townend with his wife, Beatrice, initially in Switzerland, but has since also established branches in South West London.

Stuart Townend (born 1963) is an English Christian worship leader and writer of hymns and contemporary worship music. His songs include "In Christ Alone", (2001, co-written with Keith Getty, Townend's first collaboration with any other songwriter), "How Deep The Father's Love For Us", "Beautiful Saviour" and "The King of Love".
Professional career. After university, Townend joined the Royal Artillery in 1931. He was commissioned in 1933 and held the appointment of Assistant Quartermaster general during the war. [3] He served in north-west Europe and India. [4] He attained the appointment of Assistant Adjutant-General, World Wide Air Movements at the War Office.
Stuart Townend (eigentlich Henry Stewart Townend; * 24. April 1909 in Shropshire; † 26. Oktober 2002 in London) war ein britischer Leichtathlet, Offizier und Schulleiter.
