Sulafa Khatun (d. after 1225), was the ruling atabeg of Maragha between 1209-1225. She was the last member of the Ahmadilis dynasty and its only female ruler. Sulafa Khatun succeeded Arslan-Aba II in 1209. It was uncommon and controversial for a woman to become a ruler in an Islamic state, whether as a monarch or as regent.
A female member of the family, Sulafa Khatun, was ruling Maragheh until these places were sacked by the Mongols in 1221. In 1225, Sulafa Khatun married the Khwarazmshah Jalal al-Din Mangburni, who administered her territories. In 1231, the region fell to the Mongol armies.
Khamush was married to Ahmadili princess Sulafa Khatun. According to Tarikh-i Jahangushay, Uzbek's grandson through Khamush, Nusrat al-Din fled to Sultanate of Rum but returned to Nakhchivan and was appointed as tümen commander of Azerbaijan by Möngke Khaqan.
