Around 548 the kings of the Franks placed the border region of Bavaria under the administration of a duke—possibly Frankish or possibly chosen from amongst the local leading families—who was supposed to act as a regional governor for the Frankish king.

19 de abr. de 2024 · On 20th March 1842, Francesco married Princess Adelgunde of Bavaria, the daughter of King Ludwig I of Bavaria and his wife Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. The ceremony was carried out at the Allerheilgen-Hofkirche (the Church of All Saints) that sat on the grounds of King Ludwig's palace, the Residenz, in central Munich.
