Taime Downe ( / ˈteɪmiː ˈdaʊn /; born Gustave Molvik [1] on September 29, 1964) is an American musician best known as the lead singer of the 1980s hard rock / glam metal band Faster Pussycat.
The charismatic Faster Pussycat vocalist, Taime Downe is no stranger to the Hollywood rock scene. Taime was born in Seattle, Washington in 1964. Having co-owned the infamous Cathouse niteclub with media juggernaut, Riki Rachtman (former MTV's Headbangers Ball host) during the heyday of the "sleaze rock" and "hair metal" era, to also being a prominent staple figure in the music scene as a DJ.
Faster Pussycat is an American glam metal band from Los Angeles, formed in 1985 by vocalist Taime Downe, guitarists Brent Muscat and Greg Steele and bassist Kelly Nickels. The group has since gone through numerous lineup changes leaving Downe as the only constant member.

Mark: I will have to get back there again! This month at The Rockpit on our Podcast we’re looking back at the year 1989 and for me that was a great year for Faster Pussycat – the debut album had landed in 1987 and the follow up that year ‘Wake Me Up When It’s Over’ was amazing.
