Hace 4 días · NADW is not the deepest water layer in the Atlantic Ocean: instead, the Antarctic Bottom Water (AABW) is always the densest, deepest ocean layer in any basin deeper than 4,000 m (2.5 mi). As the upper reaches of this AABW flow upwell, they meld into and reinforce NADW.
