The Great Radio Controversy is the second studio album by American hard rock band Tesla, released in 1989. The album's sound has been described as "glam metal to play inside the cab of a tractor-blusey denim and downright wholesome".

The Great Radio Controversy es el segundo álbum de la banda de rock estadounidense Tesla, lanzado al mercado por el sello discográfico Geffen Records el 1 de febrero de 1989. Las canciones combinan metal de los años ochenta con algunos elementos del blues, así como Power ballad.

The title, The Great Radio Controversy, is a reference to the historic debate over who was the true father of radio, Italian engineer Guglielmo Marconi or Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla, who the band is named after.

The Great Radio Controversy is the second album released in 1989. The album which reached #18 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, features many two-part counterpoints provided by guitarists Frank Hannon and Tommy Skeoch, on both electric and acoustic guitars.
