Princess Snow White met the seven dwarfs, miners by trade, in their cottage in the woods after fleeing for her life from her stepmother, the Evil Queen, who had grown jealous of her beauty.
- In the 1812 fairytale, the dwarfs aren't given names. In the 1912 Broadway play, they're named Blick, Flick, Glick, Snick, Plick, Whick and Quee.
