The Nice were an English progressive rock band active in the late 1960s. They blended rock, jazz and classical music and were keyboardist Keith Emerson's first commercially successful band. The group was formed in 1967 by Emerson, Lee Jackson, David O'List and Ian Hague to back soul singer P. P. Arnold.

Liderados por el excéntrico Keith Emerson (nacido el 1 de noviembre de 1944 en Yorkshire), un excepcional teclista de instrucción clásica, The Nice supuso un soplo de aire fresco en la Gran Bretaña de finales de década de los sesenta implantando un nuevo concepto de música, el art rock, que mezclaba el pop y el rock con la música clásica.
Fue una banda que se caracterizaron por sus atuendos llamativos, al estilo Jimi Hendrix. Este su primer trabajo se compone de un extraño blues psicodélico, con grandes cadencias de Órgano Hammond y pesados Riffs de Guitarra. Tenían muchas influencias del clásico, Soul y Jazz.
