The Queen’s College is a constituent college of the University of Oxford founded in 1341 by Robert Eglesfield in honour of the wife of King Edward III of England, Queen Philippa of Hainault. Queen’s College is distinguished by its predominantly neoclassical architecture and includes buildings designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor and Sir Christopher Wren.
Walking through the heavy wooden doors of Queen’s College, a visitor embarks on a journey through time. The entrance vestibule, while welcoming with its open doors today, holds traces of the past in its memorials and busts. Boards on the left commemorate OQs who died in wars, with poignant additions marking teachers lost in World Wars I and II.

The Queen’s college has buildings of various different ages and therefore a variety of different doors. There are powered doors in the following locations: Accessible toilet Fellows’ Garden; Library; Some of the doors in the college are heavy and some people may need help. Some of the doors have door knobs and some are opened by using keys.
