Thomas Osborne, 4th Duke of Leeds, KG, PC, DL, FRS (6 November 1713 – 23 March 1789), styled Earl of Danby from birth until 1729 and subsequently Marquess of Carmarthen until 1731, was a British peer, politician and judge.
Peregrine Hyde Osborne, 3rd Duke of Leeds (11 November 1691 – 9 May 1731) [1] was a British peer. Early life. He was the second son of Peregrine, Earl of Danby and his wife, the former Bridget Hyde, only daughter of Sir Thomas Hyde, 2nd Baronet. [2]
Thomas Osborne war der Sohn des Sir Edward Osborne, 1. Baronet, aus dessen zweiter Ehe mit Anne Walmesley. 1647 beerbte er seinen Vater als 2. Baronet, of Kiveton in the County of York . Thomas Osborne, 1st Duke of Leeds (February 20,1631 - July 26,1712), English statesman, commonly known also by his earlier title of Earl of Danby, son of Sir Edward Osborne, Bart., of Kiveton, Yorkshire, was born in 1631.
Zunächst führte er den Höflichkeitstitel Earl of Danby, später wurde er nach dem Tod seines Vaters 1731 Duke of Leeds. 1740 heiratete Osborne Mary Godolphin (1705–1764), Tochter von Francis Godolphin, 2.
