Charles Watson-Wentworth before 1733, Viscount Higham between 1733 and 1746, Earl of Malton between 1746 and 1750 and The Earl Malton in 1750, was a British Whig statesman, most notable for his two terms as Prime Minister of Great Britain.

Thomas Wentworth in 1713, and additional burgages were acquired over the next ten years. The estate was further enlarged by his son, Sir Thomas Watson Wentworth, who was created Lord Malton in 1728, Earl of Malton in 1733 and 1 st Marquess of Rockingham in 1746.
