Thorbjørn Jagland (født 1950) er en norsk politiker ( Ap) og tidligere statsminister, stortingspresident og utenriksminister. Han var Norges statsminister fra 1996 til 1997, utenriksminister fra 2000 til 2001, leder for Arbeiderpartiet fra 1992 til 2002, og stortingspresident fra 2005 til 2009.
Biography. Mr Thorbjørn Jagland was elected Secretary General of the Council of Europe in September 2009. In June 2014, he was re-elected, and his second term in office commenced on 1 October, 2014. He was the President of the Storting (Norwegian Parliament) from 2005 to 2009.
