The film was a box-office disappointment, but in later years it was recognized as one of the final gems of the classic film noir period of the 1940s and ’50s.

27 de mar. de 2024 · Citizen Kane established Welles's style/method, Touch Of Evil channels that style into a classic melodrama. It makes for the epitome of all film. The filmiest film. The central character, Quinlan, is a summa of corruption, power, evil etc etc. His paranoias unravels him slowly over the film, till submitting and crumbling like babel.
