Travis Shane Meeks (born April 27, 1979) is an American musician and the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for acoustic rock band Days of the New. At age 17, Meeks was signed to Geffen Records , and from 1997 to 2001 his band of rotating musicians experienced mainstream success with three studio albums.

Travis Meeks’ Unstable Childhood. Going up in Charlestown, Indiana, frontman Travis Meeks had a musician father, named Gary who recorded with The Box Tops, fronted by Alex Chilton.
They consisted of vocalist/guitarist Travis Meeks and a variety of supporting musicians. They are best known for the hit singles "Touch, Peel and Stand", "The Down Town", "Shelf in the Room", and "Enemy", as well as radio hits "Weapon and the Wound", "Hang On To This" and "Die Born".
