Ursula was the daughter of rev. Giles St. Barbe and Eleanor Lewknor. The date and place of her birth have not been found. She died on 18 JUN 1602 in Barn Elms, Richmond, London, England. In 1566, Walsingham married Ursula St. Barbe, widow of Sir Richard Worsley, and became in possession of her estates of Appuldurcombe and Carisbrooke Priory on the Isle of Wight. In 1567, Ursula gave birth to the couple’s first daughter Frances.

The following year, they had a daughter, Frances. Walsingham's other two stepsons, Ursula's sons John and George, were killed in a gunpowder accident at Appuldurcombe in 1567.
