Vakhtang IV (Georgian: ვახტანგ IV) (c. 1413 – December 1446), of the Bagrationi dynasty, was a king of Georgia who reigned from 1433 to his death, associated to the throne of his father Alexander I from 1433 to the latter's abdication in 1442 and sharing the throne with his three brothers until his death.
Vakhtang (Georgian: ვახტანგი) or Tsuata (Georgian: ცუატა) (c. 1118 – 1138) was a Georgian royal prince (batonishvili) of the Bagrationi dynasty. He was the son of King David IV the Builder and the Cuman - Kipchak princess Gurandukht, daughter of Khan Otrok .

The initial chronology of Vakhtang Gorgasali’s life was put forth by Vakhushti Bagrationi (1696-1757), suggesting the years 439-499. Regrettably, in determining the king’s lifespan, Vakhushti Bagrationi overlooked the correlation of the king’s reign years that he proposed with the Persian-Byzantine wars.
