2 de may. de 2024 · Nielsen’s gift will establish a $1.4 million endowment to fund in perpetuity the Nielsen Professor of Ideas that Transform the World and the Nielsen Student Scholars. An additional $100,000 gift will jumpstart the program for Fall 2024 while the endowment is established.

Dr. Hinga brings not only 35 years of experience in higher education, but also a deep love for Warren Wilson College.

The gift, given by Helmar Nielsen, includes a $1.4 million endowment to fund the Nielsen Professor of Ideas that Transform the World and Nielsen Student Scholars in perpetuity.

In collaboration with Dave Ellum, Dean of Land Resources, we considered the forest as a crafted environment.

A partnership between Warren Wilson College and the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy could establish four conservation easements on 600 acres of land on the college’s campus. An April 19 news release said the Warren Wilson Board of Trustees voted unanimously to partner with SAHC to establish the easements.
22 de abr. de 2024 · The Warren Wilson College Board of Trustees has unanimously voted to pursue a partnership with the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy (SAHC) to establish four conservation easements on 600 acres of the college’s land. The decision will go to the Board of the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy for approval this summer.
