Prior to joining Inspired as UK Education Director in September 2023, Mark was Headmaster of Wetherby School Notting Hill for 15 years, and Deputy Head for 2. With extensive experience in all aspects of academic, pastoral and co-curricular provision, Mark was also Executive Headmaster of Wetherby School Kensington from September 2022 until April 2023.
Wetherby School takes boys from Nursery to Year 3. There are four classes in Reception and Years 1, 2 and 3. Each year group operates in a parallel fashion. As Wetherby, the school is divided into Lower School – Reception and Year 1 and Upper School – Year 2 and Year 3.
School History. Wetherby was founded by Mr and Mrs Gerald Russell in Wetherby Place, SW7 in 1951. It moved to Pembridge Square, W2 4ED in 1971 when it became part of Davies, Laing and Dick Educational Group with its own board of governors. Wetherby School Admissions Policy Introduction Wetherby School is a non-selective Pre-Prep School that admits boys from 2½ years old irrespective of race, religion, ethnicity, social background or disability. We do not test on entry. Registration Process • The Registrar in the school is responsible for all registrations.
Expectations. Wetherby High School Sixth Form expects high standards from students. It is right that Sixth Form students have more independence as this is a time when they are learning skills that will help them make an effective transition from school to higher education or employment.
