Hace 2 días · Mountbatten was married on 18 July 1922 to Edwina Cynthia Annette Ashley, daughter of Wilfred William Ashley, later 1st Baron Mount Temple, himself a grandson of the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury. She was the favourite granddaughter of the Edwardian magnate Sir Ernest Cassel and the principal heir to his fortune.

The A669 road, routed through Chadderton, connects Oldham with Middleton. At its eastern end is Chadderton's town centre.

8 de may. de 2024 · Temple bought the estate of Stowe, Buckinghamshire, in 1590 and lived as a country gentleman, purchasing a baronetcy in 1611. His will, made on 4 Feb. 1633, was proved by a younger son, Miles, on 13 Mar. 1637. Temple died 10 Feb. 1637; the heir was his son, Sir Peter. C142/281/93, 575/142; G. He employed some of the country's most famous Mountain Men in expeditions and explorations west in the first half of the 19th Century. Very little of Ashley's early life is known, and no photos of him have been reliably verified. He was born in Virginia in 1778.
