A useful harbour at the mouth of the Water of Cruden was included the 1870s. Before that a small, long-abandoned hamlet of simple fisher homes, just called Ward, stood revealed in addition to Ward Hillside, simply above the harbour website.

  6. 2 de may. de 2024 · When Peter Hay IV of Megginch was born in 1528, in Perthshire, Scotland, his father, Peter Hay of Megginch, was 27 and his mother, Margaret Coatson Crichton, was 18. He married Margaret Ogilvy of Inchmartins before 12 May 1554. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 6 daughters. He died on 10 December 1596, in his hometown, at the age of 68.
