William King-Noel, 1st Earl of Lovelace, FRS (21 February 1805 – 29 December 1893), styled The Lord King from 1833 to 1838, was an English nobleman and scientist. He was the husband of Lord Byron 's daughter Ada , today remembered as a pioneering computer scientist.

Alistair Grant. William King-Noel, first Earl of Lovelace [known as the Hon. William King until 1833 and as the Lord King from 1833 to 1838] (1805-1893) scientist, and Fellow of the Royal Society. He married Augusta Ada Byron the legitimate daughter of the poet. They lived at Sandown House, Esher from c1841 until Ada's death in 1852.
