William Longchamp, (died Jan. 31, 1197, Poitiers, France), ecclesiastical statesman who governed England in 1190–91, while King Richard I (reigned 1189–99) was away from the kingdom during the Third Crusade. Of Norman origin, Longchamp was made chancellor of England and bishop of Ely when Richard ascended the throne.

William de Longchamp (fallecido en 1197) fue un Lord Canciller medieval , Jefe de Justicia y Obispo de Ely en Inglaterra. Nacido en una familia humilde en Normandía, debía su ascenso al favor real. William de Longchamp (died 1197) was a medieval Lord Chancellor, Chief Justiciar, and Bishop of Ely in England. Born to a humble family in Normandy, he owed his advancement to royal favour. Although contemporary writers accused Longchamp's father of being the son of a peasant, he held land as a knight.
