William X the Saint Poitou of Aquitaine was born 1099 in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, France to William IX of Aquitaine (1071-1126) and Mahaut-Philippa de Toulouse (c1070-1117) and died 9 April 1137 of suspected food poisoning. He married Eleonor de Châterault (1103-1137) 1120 JL . He married Emma de Limoges (1095-c1142) 1137 JL .
Philippa was born in approximately 1073 to Count William IV of Toulouse [1] and his wife Emma, [2] daughter of Robert, Count of Mortain. She was his only surviving child, and thus, by the laws of Toulouse, his heir. In 1088, William went on a pilgrimage to Palestine, leaving his brother Raymond of Saint-Gilles as regent.
